Gift Frames.

With Father's Day not too far away, these first two projects are winners! The 12 x 12 layout can be framed rather than put into a scrapbook and would make an ideal gift and takes a male or female photo just as easily. The photo is mounted onto a journal pocket to enable you to slip in any hand written notes or other photos which you want to keep but not necessarily display.The matching card is From the Heart. The second project, set of 3 male cards can be used for Father's Day or simply a male birthday and they are stunning.

Happy New Year - Time to get crafty!!

Welcome to 2014.
Congratulations to those of you who are members of the Creative Club and received the $20 voucher from Kaszazz for Christmas.
If you are not a member - ask me how to join. It's simple - just requires an email contact - an no you are not bombarded with countless numbers of promotional emails ............. usually about one a month. The fun part is though that gift vouchers are sent at random times to enable you to double your craft dollar.

If you haven't joined as a member of my blog yet please consider doing so this year so that I can keep you up to date with what I'm working on.
A number of ladies have contacted me about purchasing kits to get last year's photos out of the drawers and into a scrapbook before this year's crowd them out.
Classes haven't started yet but I do have some kits available that you can complete by yourself. Most just require you to produce some double sided tape and some tools but all the papers, ribbons and bits and pieces are in the pack. Please contact me if you'd like to have a look at some - we have a huge range.

Handy Hint!
To make pages for school photos, first consider the colour of your child's uniform and go from there.
Ignore the wording in the pack - this can be changed to suit the event but I've added some pictures for you to get an idea.
If nothing suits from the pre cut kits, scroll through the blog to older posts - all layouts can be put together for you as a kit.

Term 4 2013

Can you believe we're nearing the end of 2013?
Term 4 will be a busy one, so have a look at the projects I'll be working on and book in to one of my workshops if you are interested. There's one more scrapbooking layout to be added so watch this space!

 

 

 

Welcome to my latest post.

In trying to meet individual needs I have included some scrap booking page and card sets in our Thursday evening Term 4 program - those wanting to do extra scrapping can do an extra page, those wanting to do more cards can design some extras from leftovers.

I have also listed 3 extra workshops that I will be doing myself so am happy to schedule in 3 extra workshops IF you would like to join me. Obviously I would need to know in advance to order materials. If you want to do the extras it basically works out that you would come 3 Thursdays in a row and then miss the 4th.

 

If none of these appeal there are other opportunities to complete alternate projects - just contact me and ask!

Summer Fun!

I hope everyone has had a fantastic start to the New Year and that you're ready to get scrapping!!!!
To start the year I have got a fabulous summer layout for you to make.

When and How????
well you have two options.
Those of you who are beginners are invited to come to my skills based workshop alternate Thursday afternoons from 4.15 until 5.30pm. It will take you 2 sessions to complete the project and you'll pay $15 per session. At the end of the second session we'll actually start on a new one though which we'll decide on together. Our first get together will be Thursday 9th Feb. and this workshop is designed for students from grade 5 and higher, as well as adults.

Confident scrappers can join me on the same day, Thursday 9th Feb, but at the later time of 7.30 - 9.30pm, completing your project in one evening and paying just $25.

BOOKINGS AT EITHER SESSION ARE ESSENTIAL PLEASE!
 okay, so here are the samples [colours may vary slightly]

techniques for this layout include paper-tearing and rolling, distressing and the use of rub ons, cut-outs and inks to edge.

the great thing about this layout is that it doesn't matter about the orientation of the photos you want to add, you simply place them to suit yourself!

IF you want to join me, but do your own thing using my paper, stamps, inks and tools, you are most welcomed to join us at either session for the workshop fee of $25.

Christmas Cheer for Children & Adults Alike!

Greetings, and welcome to what is commonly called the 'silly season'.
Yes, Christmas is just around the corner and we all have a busy few weeks ahead.
Can I encourage you to chill out and make time for some creative relaxation??

This month I have planned 2 workshops especially designed for children to allow them to explore the world of scrapbooking and card making.
There are two special dates for 2 special projects.
Places are strictly limited to SIX children aged GRADE 3 or above.
Children will choose FOUR cards they wish to make on the day of the cards workshop.
There are TWO sets of each of the scrapbooking layouts 1 - 3, so these can be chosen on a first in basis.
Because these are introductory workshops they will operate for an hour and 15 minutes, instead of the standard two hours. This reduced teaching time will be reflected in the cost.

Okay ................. so when, where, and how much????
THURSDAY 8TH DECEMBER ..4.15  -  5.30pm .................... card making
THURSDAY 15TH DECEMBER ..4.15  -  5.30pm ..................   scrapbooking.

COST FOR BOTH:   $25                       or attend just one  $15

Shades of blue greeting cards

Our next workshop will not be a brain-drainer ladies.
Thursday 10th November we'll be making 3 simple but attractive cards at a workshop fee of only $20. We'll be using the Ezy-Press, a number of embellishments and of course some stamping. When you have made the three tags for your messages, you are free to choose the greeting of your choice.
Starting time is our usual 7.30pm. If you'd like to  join us, advanced warning would be useful -but on this occasion not essential as I have plenty of supplies of the products we'll be using. Hope to see you!!

How many times have you said those two little words ........... either in your mind or out loud??????
This Thursday night, 13th October, at our usual 7.30 till 9.30, you'll have the opportunity to make a double-page scrapbooking layout to mount your REMEMBER WHEN photos.
You can choose your own theme ............. you may have photos of yourself as a young sports star, or baby photos of a relative soon to turn a special age ........someone's first day at school........ or wedding photos you have never put into an album.
Whatever you decide, you are going to love the techniques we use to create these pages.

Workshop cost is $30 per person.

well it might be school holidays next week, but that's not going to stop us from creating some gorgeous cards!!
Created from the latest release papers from Kaszazz, 'Timeless', these cards are sure to please. We'll be using THREE brand new Ezy_Press Dies, fabulous new lace products and THREE fantastic new stamps.
You get to choose your own greetings to be added to the centre of the cards.
Workshop cost is $25 ................ but you'll have enough leftover bits and pieces to make a couple of extras!!!

Time Is Precious!!

This terrific layout would make the perfect front page for any album, to keep or to give away. Using various embellishments and chipboard, the workshop, which consists of the single page scrapbooking plus a matching gift card, costs $30 per person.

However, if you don't wish to purchase the whole sheets of chipboard popouts and can be flexible as to your actual title page wording, the cost can be brought back to $25.

The photo I have used is only 6 x 4, but the page has been designed to have a 5 x 7 photo mounted on it!

Once again, everything was prepared before I injured my ankle thankfully, so you don't have to worry about me trying to hobble around to get things ready!!

While it's title is All Boy - there's no reason why the layout can't be used for a girl.
Each person's pack contains a set of rub-ons as well as other materials so the workshop cost is $30 per person.
